Skateski REHAB 2021 SKIING TRAINING REILLY MCGLASHAN

After my surgeries (last one in Feb this year), my physio put me on some roller blades. I tried the roller blades which I really liked, but the feet just move too differently in them compared to ski boots. The whole reason for doing this was part of rehab and getting back into skiing. For me to make turns like this on roller blades I ended up having a very rigid ankle and foot, but when I ski I actually have a very relaxed ankle and foot. So I felt that I was having a disconnect with how I ski. After this, I tried making a set of Harb carvers as they use ski boots, but my personal feeling was that the Harb carvers were too heavy/clunky and also the height and width made it feel like I was tipping over a fat ski, I just didn’t like the feel of them. I actually preferred the roller blades overall, but the aspect I really liked about the Harb carvers was that they used ski boots and I wanted to train how my ankles and feet move with the same parameters I have while skiing.
