Blender 3.0 Cycles vs EEVEE + SSGI - Sci-Fi Corridor

Cycles vs EEVEE SSGI animation in Blender 3.0 Hi all, in today’s video I am showing the visual differences between Cycles vs EEVEE in Blender 3.0. For this, I created a short Sci-Fi animation to compare the two render engines. The purpose of this research was to see how close I could get the EEVEE render to the Cycles render. To do this, there were a few changes I made for EEVEE. Firstly, I used the Screen Space Global Illumination (SSGI) addon. This is built into a Blender 3.0 experimental build available on Gumroad. Secondly, I increased the light slightly in certain areas where needed. Render time comparison – Cycles: 43 minutes 1 frame (450 samples, Adaptive sampling & OpenImageDenoise) EEVEE SSGI: 38 seconds 1 frame (256 samples) These are approximate times for each frame for my machine for CPU rendering (iMac. Processor: 3.4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5). I have not put the end-to-end render times as I used a render farm for Cycles and I rendered the EEVEE frames my
