EXILIA -Satellite- Official Documentary Video

“Satellite“ is a protest song from EXILIA’s fifth album “DECODE“. The song describes the uselessness of bombs, warfare deforestation and compares how thousands can die from starvation and poverty when billions are spent creating bombs, oil plant and nuclear power plant which are destroying our ecosystems, worlds’ oceans and animalsour planet. It also links to globalization, pollution and cruelty on animals especially on commercial whaling. “Satellite“ video incorporated most of its footage shot by independent activists and filmmakers at more than 50 recent anti-whaling and climate crime protest and Afghanistan documentaries including footage from commercial whailing in Japan on the March 22, 2009 and on June 5 2012 in Faroe Island video material coming from Greenpeace, Unicef and Sea Shepherd. The video also features a short ironical images of politicians members of the Bilderberg group, a shadowy organization of political leaders and international financiers that meets secretly every spring to make global policy. “We have a right to oppose to all of this“ says Masha “that’s why this time we choose to not appear again in a video, we wanted to leave space, in our small way, for those arguments which are more importants than to see EXILIA well dressed making a good playback again:-) I think now it’s more important to help change the way we think about the solution to our global problems. It’s not really about politics to me“ she said “It’s about the beauty of human life and it’s about telling people they can make a difference making the right choice everyday“ “ I did a long research together with one of my reliable assistent to find the right material to better express the complex song meaning behind “Satellite“ and I personally cut every piece and edited the whole video because I love video editing and this time I had more than one reason to do it.“ “I hope that our friends and fans around the world will appreciate our choice and therefore understand why we choose to go in this direction and they could help us to share the message.“ Music has the power to make a change... “ Ho!
