The saffron chicken is savory and air fried to perfection. It is moist and juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. What more can you ask for when preparing chicken legs or chicken of any sort.
This saffron chicken dish involves about 30 minutes of marinating. It can be left overnight as well. What I usually do is make up the marinate the night before and leave it overnight. That way, you can simply come home, slip it in the air fryer, make the side dish, and dinner is a breeze. In light of this, our saffron chicken makes a perfect midweek meal.
Undoubtedly, saffron is expensive. It is, however, well worth while having on hand as it can be used in many dishes sauce as piaia. You can add extra spices too if you wish.
If you don’t have an air fryer, the chicken can be baked, deep fried, grilled. or simply fried. Other cuts of chicken can be used as well.
