East Greenwich Vehicle Fire - 9/30/2024

EAST GREENWICH TWP., NJ - At around 14:15 hrs. Monday afternoon, 9/30/2024, Duty Engine 19-1 was alerted to a vehicle fire adjacent to 450 Swedesboro Ave. and was reporting the vehicle to possibly be directly next to the building. Incoming District 19 units advised they had a visible column in the air and based on the report of a potential exposure to the building, to upgrade the assignment. Crews arrived and found a tractor trailer up against the building, fully involved. Additional crews arrived to ensure no significant fire extension in to the warehouse, while the remaining units and crews assisted with fire extinguishment. Fire was placed undercontrol without incident, and at the time of this upload, no injuires were reported. The warehouse was sucessfully evacuated and the incident is under investigation by the Gloucester County Fire Marshal’s Office.
