Demetrio Cecchitelli – Diaries

Director/photography: Francesco Arrigoni Editing: Astrid Music by Demetrio Cecchitelli The audiovisual project evolves into a composition of different layers of images, video footage, and films done in Rimini in the Summer of 2020. As music presents phase oscillations, drones’ repetitions, and long reverberated notes, the visual side concentrates on the presence of the man in the landscape, and the sea’s water, presenting as shades or concatenated effects of images, following the sonic flux of the narrative music. So, far from a synced audio-video conception, the process is focused on visions and extra-urban explorations, where the director’s human contact and the editing production articulate vivid imagery with the use of the main blue color, architectural structures, found objects, more or less casual as they’re presented and noted. The seeking path into the creation and composition of the work reflects on liquidness and rarefaction, both for the musical and film bodies.
