Tony Blackburn looks at the weekly pop chart from 1st September 1977 and introduces Hudson Ford, Elvis Costello, Joe Dolan, David Essex, Steve Gibbons Band, Elkie Brooks, the Dooleys, Nazareth, Yvonne Elliman, the Jacksons, Mink de Ville, Candi Staton and three Legs & Co dance sequence’s. This edition was 45 mins long, and featured three Legs routines (Silver Lady, Nobody Does it Better (repeat) and Way Down (audience participation)) Like the previous months long stint at number one of Donna Summer, this time another Legs dance which is chopped up by studio attempts at dancing,drooling and general mugging all along to Toppotron™ stills of Elvis. A slightly wasted dance routine as can only see half of the dancers (glad Sue is in the front). BBC4 showing in High Quality MPEG2
