Railway Disaster - Ais Gill (1913)

Railway accident, Ais Gill, Cumbria. Pan over area, a few men standing on or by tracks; some wreckage on hillside; but most is covered by large tarpaulins spread over it in a long line. Locomotive pulling train appears at top left corner approaching on the track. Stops on track at site of the wreck; and a man leans out of train window; hands pot and bowl to man standing below.
