Damaturu Attack: Nigerian Army Troops ‘Neutralize’ Boko Haram Terrorists

Nigeria Security forces carried out counter-terror operations in Maisandari, a suburb of the town on the eastern flank of Damaturu along the Kano-Maiduguri highway. Earlier acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations, Sector 2, Operation Lafiya Dole, Njoka Irabo, had said troops stormed Maisandari, after receiving information on the planned attack. The spokesperson said the ambush by the troops led to “the extermination of many Boko Haram terrorists”.
