This original title is what we call a “song of nine“, widely spread kind of song in Gascony. This is about the Lady of cats legend during the plague area in a little village called La Romieu. A repeated sentence starting at nine, and then you decrease (9,8,7,6,5,3,2,1) but you skip the “4“ (two syllabes in Gascon, and bringer of bad luck).
