Released back in June of 2023, Nimona follows a story of a knight framed for murder, to prove his innocence he has to team up with a shape-shifting teen who will help him and the kingdom find out the truth about everything they know. Eight years in the making: The graphic novel-turned-movie, Nimona, would be proof of miracles as the animated film was brought back from the dead by the one and only Netflix. Initially developed by BlueSky Studios (RIP), Disney would pull the rug right under their feet as they chose to not only shut down the company, but to also cancel their passion-project, 75% from completion. Luckily Nimona would get picked up by another competitor in Netflix--and the rest is history. Saw this movie a while back when it came out but felt like I didn’t really have much to say about it lol but hey; you asked for it, you’re gonna get it!
