Toby Ginkgo - Mellow

From today onwards, Toby Ginkgo takes us into late summer with his atmospheric track „Mellow“. The melancholic and dreamy main chords of “Mellow“ were born during an emotional phase in his life. This phase was characterized by the interplay of moments where thoughts tumbled over each other, and by tranquil moments where his thoughts carried him into the distance. „It was precisely these moments that shape the sound of Mellow.“ When we first listened to Toby Ginkgo’s new single “Mellow,“ it was immediately clear to us that we could only shoot the music video in one location on the East Coast of Germany – the enchanting “Ghost Forest“. The gnarled trees of this woodland narrate the story of the timeless contest between the forest and the sea’s storms. Being present at this location to hear Toby Ginkgo perform “Mellow“ live and to listen to the forest’s stories was an unparalleled experience. Since then “Mellow“ consistently reminds us of this narrative: a narrative about forces that coexist in harmony, even when it may not initially seem so, and ultimately create something beautiful.
