**BLOWN HYDRANT** FDNY Engine 22 Wrangles a Hydrant Shooting Water 40 feet in the air! CROWD CHEERS!

A nice Monday morning shower for the members of E22 as they shut off a hydrant that sheared off under pressure. Bystanders reported that a contractor was illegally tapping into the hydrant with a small garden hose and… well, the result was this. A massive torrent of water was reaching over 40 feet in the air and reaching as high as the 4th floor.
