DJ Blakey @ Musikmesse 2011

At this year’s Musikmesse in Frankfurt Germany, we launched our DJM-T1 mixer, specifically tailored for Traktor but it was Blakey who stole the show with an inspired performance on the recently launched DDJ-S1 controller, designed specifically with Serato in mind. Watch Blakey as he cuts his way through Daft Punk/Kanye West, House of Pain and Billie Jean, taking full advantage of the super-tight integration with Serato. The five hot-cues allow Blakey to jump around accapellas with ease, not to mention browsing tracks directly from the controller. Each day there was a prize draw where visitors could fill in a form in return for a wrist band with a number on. At each day, hosts Marco Maui would pick winners from the pot who’s wristband matched the number on the selected winning ticket. Lucky winners could walk away with anything from a pair of HDJ-500s to a DJM-350!
