ORM textures setup in Blender & how to fix DirectX/OpenGL normals
In this video we’ll see ho w to set and connect ORM textures into Blender shader node.
ORM means Occlusion, Roughness and Metallic, these are PBR channel used in a lot of CG workflows.
ORM textures pack these channel into a single texture image to optimize resources, this technique is used frequently in game engines.
Also, normals sometimes behave strangely, as if they were reversed. This problem is caused by the difference in DirectX / OpenGL standards. In this video we will also see how to fix the issue :-)
The model and textures in this video are from one of my assets, you can find it on following marketplace. Have a look, purchasing my stuff you’ll support this channel and my work ;-)
