Long March-4C launches Gaofen-12 04

A Long March-4C launch vehicle launched the fourth Gaofen-12 Earth observation satellite from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, Gansu Province, China, on 20 August 2023, at 17:45 UTC (21 August, at 01:45 local time). According to official sources, Gaofen-12 04 (高分十二号04) entered the planned orbit successfully and “will be used in a variety of fields, including land surveys, urban planning, road network design, crop yield estimation and disaster relief”.
