Everyone has a different opinion on NFT’s, high priced art, AI generation and other topics mentioned in this video. I do not support NFT’s or AI as it currently is unmoderated by law and affects thousands of artist’s by way of art theft. I am not sure if Miles supports AI, but it was hinted at in his tweets. however there is a language barrier that I could easily have misunderstood or he could have misspoke. ⚠️ I do want to address in 2020 there was controversy around miles creating an artwork with “America first” as a slogan on a tshirt, a dogwhistle popularized by white supremacists. In a follow up he stated he wished to have a racist family portrayed in a story and show the progression of the character changing their beliefs after falling in love. However after the backlash the project was cancelled and the picture deleted. Community reaction was understandably outraged but going off of his word this truly seemed like an egregious misunderstanding caused by missing crucial context. Why didnt I mention it? I honestly had no idea before posting & none of my peers knew. The only complaints I saw were about pricing, and his ai/nft controversy. My video essentially is a reaction to shrapnels, w/ some new info sprinkled in. But based off the tweets I found from that time, it does not appears miles holds these beliefs. Genuinely bummed I found this out after posting, but feel this comment summarizes my thoughts based off the information available. I truly thought it was a “omg expensive artist bad reaction!” Kind of video, so I didn’t assume I needed to do extensive research beforehand.
