Sophia’s FIA F3 Journey Through Barcelona - most overtakes in the main race: A Vlog

Hello dear friends of the fast formula racing, the FIA F1 circus came to Barcelona in Spain immediately after Monaco. For me, the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is also one of the most beautiful and challenging race tracks in the racing circus with its latest layout variant - i.e. without the braking chicane before the last corner. The 4,657 mtr circuit is varied with slow and very fast corners. Together with the very rough asphalt - MotoGP race track - it is incredibly tire-killing. The front left tire in particular suffers. There are consequences from this circumstance: Since all teams save three sets of the new PIRELLI slicks for qualifying and there was no used carry over set, all F3s remained parked in the pitlane for a very long time in FP1. Only the last 20 minutes were used to get a setup (in the morning, cool, green track) out for the quali in the afternoon. I think it’s a shame to waste the very expensive F3 track time in the pitlane. My quali was completely for the trash due to a faulty brake spare part. My brake didn’t release, got hot, the pads glazed over and after the first outing on set 1, nothing worked with tire sets 2 and 3. All the other pilots got faster, with was the car done. But the races went better. Starting from P27 in each race, in the sprint race went up to P21, and in the main race it was even P20 in the end. There were some very nice moves. That’s fun, because the setup of the car was also good. But we’re still clearly too slow with our parts carriers. The enthusiasm of the fans in Barcelona was great to see. On Friday, it was said that there were already more than 100,000 fans. Even the organizer seemed surprised, because the journey on Friday to and from the track was really chaotic. Some were 2.5 hours on the road, where it usually takes 20 minutes. On Saturday and Sunday, the police took care of everything. There were probably over 300,000 spectators over the weekend. Once again, I can only say that F1 is booming. The F3 and F2 are clearly benefiting from this. It’s just great entertainment that gets people excited. The F3 has mid-season. On . it continues in the beautiful Styria on the Red Bull Ring. You will see me there again at @SkyF1. Tune in. I am looking forward to it.
