In August 2020, at the height of the pandemic, I managed to break free for a few days. Without hesitation, I bought a bus ticket to Balashov and went to the river, to Khopyor. This was my second trip along the river, I really wanted to go further, downstream. I managed to walk in 6 days from Balashov to Povorino - a large railway junction. Why Khopyor? Why again? I dont know. At first I poked my finger at the map, Google a little and made a decision, but then, when I saw the river, I immediately fell in love with it. These inaccessible shores, as if you were walking along a canal, these sandbanks, bottomless whirlpools carried me away, captured and did not let go until next year. At the anti-slip in Balashov in 2019, I presented how I would start in a year from this place. And with God’s help, despite the covid fever and temporary isolation, a year later I was thrilled again in the khopyor’s sun.
