Why are well-to-do people in Britain so keen on immigration, including illegal immigration?

It often seems puzzling to ordinary, working-class people in this country, why there is seemingly such an enormous appetite for immigration in both the Labour and Conservative parties, and also among middle-class and ‘educated’ people in general.
