A Black Buzzard-eagle helps himself to the better part of a European Hare while a Carancho is hovering impatiently hoping to get its turn at the meal, near El Calafate in southern Patagonia. It is a commonplace sight in the region as hares get frequently run over by cars and become easy meals for birds of prey.
