SPLLIT - “Spllit Sides“ (2021, full album)

Surely if we try hard we would be able to find some evidence that some nook and cranny of SPLLIT’s debut album on Richmonds’s Feel it Records, bears some kind of similarity to anything anyone has done before. We could also fall into the banality of applying to their sound a bunch of chaotic tags, unabashedly stacked, “newwavy postpunky nowave artpunky noise“, finally topping it off with “experimental“, a term that goes for everything, and that denotes that you have no fucking idea what you’re talking about... So in this case, and just for once, we don’t want to be frivolous, and we’d like to think that when this Baton Rouge’s duo promised us in their first single a “next level music“, they have kept their promise, and not only in a surprisingly original way, but also instantly addictive!
