Ketchikan totem poles, 1986

Scenes from Totem Bight State Historical Park and Saxman Totem Park near Ketchikan in Southeast Alaska in 1986 include numerous Tlingit and Haida totem poles and a community clanhouse. Pole carving traditions are today kept alive by elder Tlingit and Haida carvers who pass on their knowledge to young artists.
