Shooter Swapnil Kusale Wins Bronze To Take India’s Medal Tally To 3 | Paris Olympics 2024

Swapnil Kusale clinched India’s third medal in Chateauroux at the 2024 Paris Olympics on Thursday. A railway ticket collector, Kusale clinched bronze in Men’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions event with a score of 451.4. Kusale shot an aggregate of 451.4 in the eight-shooter final to finish third after being placed sixth at one stage. After the end of the kneeling and prone rounds, Kusale was ranked fifth with a score of 310.1. In the standing position, an elimination round, the Indian was consistently placed in the top four and eventually sealed a bronze medal finish. All three medals so far for India have come in shooting events – which is the best performace for the sport in Olympics for India.
