Matt Damon at 50

(7 Oct 2020) MATT DAMON AT 50 Matt Damon reaches a milestone birthday on 8 October - and he has a lot to celebrate. Damon was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in 1970, and as a teen, appeared in high school productions alongside his friend Ben Affleck.  He attended Harvard University for three years, but left to appear in the 1993 western “Geronimo: An American Legend.“  In 2013, Damon was awarded the Harvard Arts Medal. Damon hit an early career high point with “Good Will Hunting,“ for which he won an Oscar in 1998 for best original screenplay along with Affleck.  He was also nominated for best actor, and went on to become one of Hollywood’s most sought-after leading men. Damon has starred in movies as diverse as the “Bourne“ franchise, the geopolitical thriller “Syriana,“ Martin Scorsese’s crime saga “The Departed,“ and Steven Soderbergh’s Liberace biopic “Behind the Candelabra.“ Matt Damon stars alongside Affleck with Jodie Comer and Adam Driver in his latest movie, “The Last Duel,“ currently filming
