===== Our planet has gone through a series of radical transformations over the last decade, and so has the artist known as Autre Ne Veut. When the producer and vocalist began releasing music under the moniker in the early 2010s, it was a very different moment, culturally and emotionally — an era colored by a certain kind of futurist optimism, a widespread belief that digital media would create a utopian world of endless invention and egalitarianism. That’s not exactly how it panned out over the years to come, and now in the 2020s, as Autre Ne Veut prepares to release “Okay” — their first single in over six years — the future looks very different. “‘Okay’ is about acquiescing, it’s about being patient, it’s about accepting that on the other side of a long journey may be more work, but with any luck, ‘Okay’ is about acceptance,” ANV muses. “I’m so grateful to be able to share this part of me with y’all again.
