Idir Davaine, Bijou

Idir Davaine is a contemporary French painter living and working in Paris. His large-scale, gestural paintings are inspired by nature and the urban landscapes he lives in. Idir “uses color generously as a way to convey emotions that meet, merge or clash on the canvas. Quite often, the viewer is transported into the painting as it’s main consciousness” Maxime Der Nahabédian writes for Crash Magazine. Bijou is an experimental book with full bleed pages printed entirely in Riso. His work is collected internationally and exhibited in galleries throughout France.
