From the very first seconds of the record, Fenmoss draws the listener into the enchanted woodlands of the land of his creation in “I’m Off to the Elven Ruins!“ with hypnotizing plucked chords and the nostalgic warble of a warm retro synth - perfect music for any RPG session. And yet, as with any adventure, this album isn’t all the swaying of forest boughs and gentle breezes. Danger lurks around many a corner, and Fenmoss elegantly transitions between bright optimism and darker sections throughout the record, making for a balanced and more deeply-nuanced composition.
