The Kanjuro Craftsmen Have Made Bows for Samurai and the Nobility for over Four Centuries

Hello everyone, When I was a kid, my dad has told me about the reduction of manpower of traditional trades due to the industrialization and modernization of Japanese society, traditional products started to become out-dated and forgotten. #kanjurobow #samurai #traditiontechnique However, they’re still young people who spend all of their careers carrying on the tradition. We’d like to honor them as much as we can. So I decided to create a series of video shows about them and their work from the footage available from my friends and myself. Today, This video will be more attractive because I have edited the script, rewrote the content, new voices were recorded, new effects work, new music, new footage added and a new creation is created as follows: “The Kanjuro Craftsmen Have Made Bows for Samurai and the Nobility for over Four Centuries“ This time our main character is a Bow Craftsman: Shibata Munehiro (柴田 宗博さん) from Kyoto Prefecture. He was Born in 1984 Teacher (Munehiro’s Father) 21st Generation: Shibata Kanjuro (柴田 勘十郎さん) He grew up, watching his father’s work from an early age and was conscious of becoming a bow craftsman in the future. When he was about 23 years old, he became a disciple of his father, 21st Generation: Shibata Kanjuro. He is working hard to acquire technology while fighting against the pressure to protect the long tradition. When his father retires, Munehiro will inherit his name and become the 22nd Kanjuro to head the household. ► Where to Buy & More Information Shibata Kanjuro Bow Shop (柴田勘十郎弓店) Address: Japan, 〒600-8048 Kyoto, Shimogyo Ward, 御幸町通万 寿 寺上る須浜町657 Phone: 81 75-351-1491 Facebook: 柴田勘十郎弓 店/417613494940096 If you enjoyed this video please subscribe & check out to my channel: Thanks guys ► Become a member of this channel to get access to perks:
