#VisitRussia ? The Sakha (Yakutia) Republic is the largest federal subject of Russia, situated in the northeastern part of Siberia, with an area of 3,083,523 square kilometers. This is nearly equivalent to the entire land area of India, which ranks seventh among the biggest countries in the world. Yakutia is one of the few places on our planet that boasts preserved primeval nature and an amazing variety of flora and fauna. The Republic is home to over 30% of Russia’s wildlife. More than 90% of its territory remains untouched or only slightly impacted by industrial development. Nevertheless, Yakutia accounts for 25% of global diamond production. The main attractions of Yakutia include Kisilyakh Mountain, the Lena and Sinskiye Pillars, the Memorial Museum “Yakutsk Political Exile,“ the Lensky Museum-Reserve “Druzhba,“ tourist center “Kingdom of Permafrost,“ the Diamond Quarry “Mir“ and others!
