Wildflower: Carrizo Plain National Monument: Hidden Gem

We came back to Carrizo Plain National Monument. This year was a wet winter, and we wanted to come back for wildflowers. In 2017, we used Hwy 58 to get in to Carrizo Plain, but we went through a different route. We used Route 33, then we used Crocker Springs Road/Hurricane Road to go through a mountain. Before you go, please consider the under clearance of your vehicle. Our van is not 4WD, but does have a high clearance. Mostly fine, but there were some challenging areas. It also depends on weather. If it is wet, it can be impassible. Please make sure of your experience, type of car, recent map, updated conditions and weather.
