Rowing Race (1920)

No title. Unedited material. Overexposed footage of a rowing race. Very dark negative indeed. Difficult to make out what is going on in first section - L/S of rowers. M/S of young women getting out of a rowing boat (contrast OK from here). It is a girls rowing team. They wear black shorts, white shirts and ties. They get out of the boat one by one. A man helps them out and onto a wooden walkway. L/S of the girls carrying their boat up on the riverbank. Another all-girl crew is helped out of their boat. M/S of girls and friends on the riverbank. M/S of a man talking to a group of girls on the shore. Some of the girls wear school blazers. The girls laugh at his speech. He is possibly a school teacher. He hands a trophy to one of the girls. Note: not sure if this ever made it into an “Eve’s Film Review“ but was probably filmed for the same. FILM ID:1006.2 A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR ONLINE CHANNEL, BRITISH PATHÉ TV.
