Ashokan Farewell - Fiddle Lesson

Ashokan Farewell is an iconic tune written by Jay Ungar and Molly Mason. The song was featured prominently in Ken Burn’s Civil War TV mini-series. The melody is simple, and yet haunting, as a good waltz should be. It’s a great tune to start on if you’re a beginner player, and you can expect to hear this at pretty much any jam session around the US.
