Large Texas Cichlid

I’ve had this bad boy for possibly 6 years. He is very large for a Texas Cichlid but is a hybrid version of the original kind. He has become quite mellow in his old age and can be housed with almost anything. He is a very beautiful fish in person and stands out as the king of the tank he is in. Common/ Trade name: Texas cichlid or Pearlscale cichlid Max. size: 30 cm / 12 inches pH range: 6.5 -- 8.0 dH range: 8-25 Temperature range: 72-82° F Aggression : medium aggression for a cichlid. I find it to be a good community cichlid provided the tank is a reasonable size for an adult fish.
