Aboard Amtrak’s Adirondack: New York to Montreal

Climb aboard Train 69, the Adirondack, for an international rail journey to Montreal. During the month of October, Amtrak adds former Great Northern Great Dome #10031 “Ocean View“ to the train north of Albany for better viewing of fall colors along Lake Champlain. As of 2019, Amtrak is no longer operating the dome car on the Adirondack. I took one last trip aboard in the fall of 2018 when it was all but confirmed that the dome car would not be returning.
