Weedless Deep Dive Tube Fly for pike

The Weedless Deep Dive Tube fly I designed to get amongst the snags, debris and fish deep. If you watch the tutorial there is some detail which is very important to increase hook-ups. These have been well tested now and miss very few pike on my home waters. The tube is very simple and loosely based on the Bauer (Niklaus Bauer) Tube. The rig is what I termed the Mono-rig, which is actually my nickname, plus I sometimes add heavy mono for the tail attachment. The shank is added to add weight and provide an eye for easy attachment, this also improves the movement. I would expect these tied smaller would be great for coastal water fish like bass, pollack and wrasse. The tube tying is kept very simple as there as a guide. Be creative but mindful you don’t impede the hook with too much bulk. If you tie it, remember a little credit goes a long way.
