Tod Slaughter At Home (1936)

Item title reads - Now Pathetone is taking you along to interview that famous star of melodrama Tod Slaughter at home. Location unknown. M/S of Tod Slaughter playing Sweeney Todd putting an edge on his razor and looking at the knife, pistol and noose he has in his shop. M/S as Pathe journalist approaches door, sign outside says ’Sweeney Tod Slaughter’. He rings the bell and manages to pull the cord out. M/S as Tod comes out, lifts him up by the waist and carries him inside. M/S of the two of them inside, the journalist explains he has come to interview him, but Tod straps him in Sweeney Todd’s chair and starts putting shaving foam on his chin. He asks him what he does in his spare time and he says he evolves new methods of murder. Blood drips down on the journalist’s head, and Tod explains that the ceiling leaks.
