Les Parks Traditional Snare Drum Grip Explained

This left hand stick grip method is often referred to as “the Bobby Thompson grip“ because Mr. Thompson did so much to promote it through his work as an instructor and arranger. However, he actually learned the technique from Les Parks when they marched together in the “Sons of Liberty“ drum & fife corps from Brooklyn, NY (1947-1968).
