School Feminizes Boys and Traumatizes Girls

Psychoanalyst Erica Komisar explains the biggest flaws in mainstream education and how they affect young boys and girls differently. During early childhood, preschools overemphasize pursuits that don’t match the cognitive developmental stage of students, while ignoring the social and physical instincts which are best cultivated through unstructured, imaginative play. Schools attempt to feminize boys through unrealistic behavioral expectations, leading to misdiagnosis and over-medication. On the other hand, rewarding perfectionism plays into girls’ instinctive threat-sensitivity, often boiling over in adolescence with disastrous consequences. All in all, schools drastically misunderstand what kids need and when they need it.
