London After Midnight! (1939)

Titles read: “Now Pathetone presents - LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT! FILMED AT THE PARADISE [CLUB], LONDON“. Various shots of people dancing to the music of Arthur Rosebery and his band (aka his Swingtette) at the Paradise Club. Glamorous chorus girls - the Paradise Adorables - come on and do a little dance routine wearing top hats and capes. They are joined by dance act Leslie Roberts and Eda Peel (in snappy white suits) who do a tap routine with the girls. We then see conjurer Sutherland Felch doing a funny card trick. Impressionist Clifford Stanton does a good takeoff of actor Edward Everett Horton. The chorus girls come on again and do a jazzy little routine in backless costumes and headscarves (sort of 42nd Street meets The Archers). Some girls stand at the back in extremely scanty costumes with their vitals just covered by seashells! (Why are there no clubs like this now?!!) FILM ID:1184.2 A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ.
