Bilitis. Francis Lai

Bilitis (Patti D’Arbanville) is a boarding-school teenager on the verge of full erotic awakening, but during the summer she spends with a married couple in the 1930s the nearest she comes to exploring her sexuality is to be caught up in a sort of wave of sensuality. Best remembered for his Oscar-winning scores to A Man and a Woman and Love Story, composer Francis Lai was born April 26, 1932, in Nice, France. From the French romantic drama film “Bilitis“, which was directed by photographer David Hamilton with a music score by Francis Lai. The main song Bilitis was written by him and it was first released in 1977.
