Racehorse attempts to escape Sydney by train

A racehorse made a daring escape attempt in Sydney on Friday, baffling commuters and prompting a cavalcade of horse puns (which we will not be making, apart from that one). Rather than take the most obvious form of transportation – himself – he decided to flee on one of nature’s other animals: the train. As he darted up and down the platform, two things were very clear: first, no one on the platform was expecting a replacement horse service, and second, it’s almost certain, although not confirmed, that the horse did not have a valid ticket. Sadly, just as the train was arriving so the horse could make one of the more improbable animal escapes in recorded history, a handler arrived to escort him to a different mode of transportation: a horse box, which would take him back home. Better luck next time, horse.
