MouldKing AliExpress Lego moc aluminium metal universal joints are junk

These seem like a good idea, but the very thin aluminium used in the joints, steel pins, and huge play between the components even when brand new mean that in practise they’re chinesium. This particular joint is installed in didumos’s Greyhound MOC-19517 (which MouldKing stole and published as the greenhound buggy). It’s covered around 5km but you can see the holes have enlarged through wear of a steel pin against an aluminium body. It now has about 1/8 of a turn of freeplay, and definitely won’t cover ano
