82nd airborne testing a Panzerfaust on an abandoned Tiger 2 from Kampfguppe Peiper
American soldiers from the 82nd airborne division testing the Panzerfaust 60 anti-tank recoiless gun on an abandoned Tiger 2 from Kampfguppe Peiper in the village of La Gleize in Belgium during the Battle of the Bulge
The Panzerfaust 60 can penetrate 200mm of armor while the Tiger 2’s frontal armor is 150mm sloped at 40° with a LOS thickness of 233mm which explains why the Panzerfaust did not fully penetrate.
