Johan Castberg arrival

It’s quite a sight when giants meet! 8 April 2022 the Johan Castberg Floating production, storage and offloading vessel (FPSO) arrived Norway from #Sembcorp Marine in Singapore on board the world’s largest transport vessel, Boka Vanguard owned by #Boskalis. The FPSO is 313 meters long, about the lenght of three football fields, and has a production capacity of 190 000 barrels per day. After float of the FPSO was towed to #AkerSolutions at Stord, and shortly after the world’s largest crane heavy lift vessel, Sleipnir owned by #Heerema Marine Contactors (HMC) arrived to install the lower part of the turret, delivered by #SBM and #Dubai Drydocks. During the summer of 2022 the process modules, constructed in Egersund, Stord, Verdal, Sandnessjøen and Hammerfest in Norway will be installed by Gulliver from #Scaldis.
