Birthed in a confined space during South Africa’s first nation wide lockdown, the song reflects the impulses one wrestles with during this oddly serene period spent strictly indoors.
Surfacing urges to be ‘bad’ momentarily in order to experience a little relief, and maybe even some reckless fun, in a world where our existence feels tracked and monitored.
The video was shot with minimal crew under strict Covid-19 regulations. The band members worked alongside director Ying-Poi De Lacy on her early 2000s Canon camcorder with Angie Durrant Batis on BTS.
