Giraffe lifts Texas toddler from vehicle during drive-thru safari

A Texas wildlife center has changed its visiting policies after a giraffe snagged a toddler and lifted her into the air. Jason and Sierra Toten brought their 2-year-old daughter Paisley to the Fossil Rim Wildlife Center in Glen Rose, which offers a drive-thru safari where guests can interact with dozens of species face-to-face. The center allows visitors to ride in the bed of a truck to feed the giraffes, and that’s just what Paisley and her mother were doing. One hungry giraffe spotted the bag of food Paisley was holding, but accidentally grabbed her shirt in its quest for a snack. It lifted her into the air for a moment before dropping her into her mother’s arms. Tap this link to read more: Video courtesy Sierra Robert/TMX
