Panda playtime for Tian Tian at RZSS Edinburgh Zoo

Fantastic video footage has emerged of RZSS Edinburgh Zoo’s female giant panda, Tian Tian, having a delightful time playing with the latest enrichment item given to her by her keepers. The video shows Tian Tian enthusiastically playing with a log that was given to her as enrichment. Her keepers discovered that she was particularly fond of a piece of log in her outdoor enclosure, so they hid it under a huge pile of bamboo for her to find. As soon as she clambered onto her swing she sniffed out her surprise under all the bamboo. She eschewed her dinner for playtime instead, and quickly dug out the log which she then pushed off her hammock, before performing a ninja roll after it. She then proceeds to pick up the log to play with it, before rubbing the log’s scent into her fur. Find out more on our website:
