Bill Greer was the senior Secret Service agent assigned to drive the presidential limo aka the wheel man. Watch as Greer reacting to something wrong turns to look just prior to the fatal head shot. Greer slows the limo down to 11 mph & in so doing unknowingly gives Oswald the extra time needed to adjust & fire. Oswald did not fire 3 shots in 5 1/2 seconds but 8 1/2. The extra 3 seconds made possible by a limo barely moving (Get in your car & travel at 11mph. Your car is practically at a stand still), thus making JFK’s unobstructed head shot easily possible. Secret Service procedures in place at the time did not allow Greer to take action without orders from senior agent (passenger) Roy Kellerman, who sat to Greer’s right. Kellerman stated that he shouted, “Let’s get out of line, we’ve been hit,“ but that Greer apparently turned to look back at Kennedy (While a natural reaction, the agents are trained to MOVE however he made that fatal mistake any one of us would look back). No agents were reprimanded or disciplined for their actions during the shooting. Privately Jackie was bitterly critical of the agents’ performance, Greer’s in particular.
