He has performed and recorded with such names as Lee Konitz, Tom Harrell, Steve Swallow, Lew Soloff, Ray Anderson, Ted Rosenthal, Hermeto Pascoal, Franco Ambrosetti, and Italian mezzo-soprano Cecilia Bartoli. As an accompanist and sideman, his playing can be heard on recordings made for EMI, CBS, Blue Note, Enja and TCB. Featuring his own arrangements of compositions by, among others, Jean-Luc Ponty, Fred Hersch, Oscar Pettiford, Hermeto Pascoal and Tania Maria, Pezzottis masterful cello playing is set in a variety of group settings where his instrument is heard singularly or, in some cases, multi-tracked as many as 24 times.
